“Fierce” Cedar Park, 2017
こんばんは。How’s it going?
Just a few things to say today:
- Both Koa and Mariko were sick this morning, but by the afternoon they both seemed to be feeling better.
- For the past few days, I’ve had an odd thing happen to my sense of smell. It happens about once every year, but it’s where I constantly smell one scent, and it usually starts as a burnt coffee smell, but then after a couple days shifts over to a more savory smell. Apparently, it’s not uncommon, but when it first happened a few years ago I was worried. Now it’s just interesting to me.
- The new leader of the country is causing me a lot of stress. The administration’s views and actions run counter to my values, so the news distracts me all the time.
Anyways, that is what is going on today in my life. Oh, I also went to the eye doctor today for my annual checkup, and my vision hasn’t changed enough to warrant new glasses for distance viewing, but I did get a prescription for close-up “reading” glasses. 
Mariko says I am getting old… and of course she’s right!
