Have you noticed that the phrase “I feel like…” has replaced “I think that…” in conversation lately?
Also, I noticed the phrase, “To tell you the truth…” has been replaced by “Not gonna lie…”
Just something that’s been on my mind lately.

Not gonna lie, every time I hear someone use that phrase, I always think, “Why would you lie about that?” Also, I have been arguing with people about the recent replacement of “I feel like” for “I think that” for years and nobody has been able to validate this for me until I randomly googled it and found this post.
I am not alone in this crazy world after all. Thank you.
Yes! Do you lie so often that you need to preface certain things with “Not gonna lie…”?!
