“Color Book” Austin, 2021
I went into the office today, which was the first time to actually work there since the COVID-19 pandemic started last year. I had visited a few times before, for my flu shot, and to pick up some items that I needed to work remotely, but today I needed to do a photo shoot so I decided to take the photos and post-process there.
It was really odd of course because there were only maybe 15% of the regular staff working in the office but at the same time, it felt as if it were normal in that everything on my desk was still the same place that I left it, including the Pantone color book which is today’s photo. I was actually a little worried about the color book since it is expensive, so I was happy to see it right where I left it. I did put it in the locked desk drawer before I left, though!
I’m not sure when I will return to the office full-time, but as more people get vaccinated, I’m comfortable going in once in a while. Still masked up, of course! 😷
I look forward to seeing you there sometime.
It must have felt strange going back. I think if I were an office worker who had worked from home for months, I would ideally want it to continue. But then I’d love to work from home.
