“Chuto Hanpa” (中途 半端) is a Japanese phrase which means “doing something halfway”, in other words, starting something but not finishing it or leaving it incomplete.

In my house, I’m able to take the photo above often as it seems that no one besides me is willing to put the toilet paper roll on the holder. And I always think, “Chuto Hanpa” and chuckle to myself before putting the roll in the holder.

Besides that task, I’m also the “lights-turner-offer” and “cabinet-door-closer”. I used to get annoyed and complain but now I find it funny and satisfying to do this little bit of tidying up. (can turning off lights be considered tidying up?)

またね~
