I found Honey and Clover (Japanese movie) at the local library and decided to give it a try since I have heard about the manga, but never really knew anything about it. The description on the back seemed to match the kind of movie I would be interested in: A group of art school students’ lives and the relationships that develop between them. While the characters were interesting and the setting of the story kept my attention, the plot itself was so lacking that I found myself wondering why I was watching the movie. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but nothing really does. Well, at least nothing that I would make a movie over. The love stories never really develop, the characters don’t grow so much, and I kind of find it difficult to remember how the movie ended, even though I just watched it a few days ago. I’m sure the manga must be good, but the movie just falls flat. Disappointed!

Iron Man 3 Review
Iron Man 3 was ok. Not necessary to see it on the big screen. Ben Kingsley would be equally brilliant on the tv.
New Phone Case

I got a new case by Mercury for my Galaxy S3 the other day; it reminds me of the old PDA days! It has a magnetic latch to keep the case closed and has some slots in the inside cover for credit cards. I don’t think I will keep credit cards in it, but I did put a Miu Suto Engine Sentai Go-onger trading card in there just for some eye-candy. I opted for the navy blue/lime green color scheme which is fun and will hopefully make it harder to misplace. I do wish the inside was a little less lime, but it’s still good.

Of course the case adds some bulk to the phone but it has a good feel to it and seems pretty sturdy. The phone itself is securely attached in a soft plastic holder, and that is attached to the faux leather case. It has cut-outs for camera, flash, speaker, mic, and buttons, but one of the really cool things is that it also has a small hole for a keitai (cellphone) strap. I put on an Animal Crossing character, and it is perfect for putting under the case so that the speaker won’t be covered if you rest the phone on the table. No more muffled podcasts while I get ready in the morning!

All-in-all, I think this case is going to work out nicely!
