Lately, I’ve been enjoying going for walks in the neighborhood while listening to audiobooks. It’s so relaxing and fun. Highly recommend! And I also can recommend Shokz headphones. They are really comfy and safe for running/walking since they don’t block your ear canal, so you can hear traffic and other potential hazards.

I’m turning some Scotch Bonnet peppers, gifted by my Mom and cousin, into homemade hot sauce. I’ve already removed the seeds and prepped the peppers, and now they’re resting for a day. Next, I’ll add vinegar and let the mixture sit for another week. I’m excited (and slightly nervous) to see just how intense this sauce will be!

I was at the car dealership getting maintenance and inspection done on Mariko’s car and I had a few minutes to check out the new cars. Wow, the wheels on this beauty were impressive! And look at that brake disc. It’s massive! So different than my Subaru.

Last night, we tried a new all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant, Happy Lamb. They offer two tiers of meat. The regular level looked good, but the higher level was only $5 more per person and included premium cuts like wagyu beef and ribeye, so we upgraded. The selection of vegetables and seafood was also impressive, and both broths we chose were delicious, though I especially enjoyed the spicy one.

I’d definitely recommend Happy Lamb. It’s delicious, and the all-you-can-eat dinner is reasonably priced at $29/$34 per person.
