Today is National Fountain Pen Day! I haven’t bought any new pens lately, but I did create a Google Keep note to keep track my pens and the inks I use in them. Makes it a lot easier to organize. 😄

One of my life’s little pleasures is reading a book while listening to Bay’s piano lessons. 📙🎹 I’m sad that there’s less than a year left for piano lessons since Bay will be leaving for college next summer… 😥
But I’ll enjoy it while it lasts!

こんばんは。How’s it going?
So, our kids are now too old to dress up for Halloween but our neighborhood is still filled with kids of the trick-or-treating age, so we hand out a lot of treats. Tonight we must have had about 75 kids show up, and we just about ran out of candy!
Actually, towards the end of the evening, some older kids who Koa knew came by, and Koa gave them the rest of the treats. He heard me say that once we get rid of all the candy, we have to turn off all the lights so no one else knocks on the door. But he thought I meant to give away all the candy to the next group of kids!
It worked out fine, though, because by 8 pm the night was just about over. We had rain here in Texas, so most families went out earlier than usual. It was a fun night, though, seeing all of the costumes! 🎃

Today’s photo is of the sticker I put on my new power bank. Do you know what movie that sneaker is from? If you guessed The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou you would be correct!
I bought a new power bank because Bay’s battery went kaput and I gave him my Anker power bank. It was good, but it was too heavy and kind of overkill on my power needs, but perfect for Bay. While I was in China, I found that my Anker pack was just too heavy and bulky, but my Mom’s much smaller power bank was great. So I opted to get a smaller capacity 10,000 mAh Oprout power bank (with enough flat surface space to decorate with sticker) and it suits me fine. If I need to, I can even put it in my jeans pocket.
Anyways, so far so good!
