Well, the Dodgers made it to game 7 of the World Series, but unfortunately lost to the Houston Astros. It was tough to watch but I think they still had an amazing year, with many records broken. There’s always next year, right?

It’s funny, but I stress out so much when the Dodgers play, that now that the series is over, the stress has left me. Even with a loss, the uncertainty is gone. So I’m sure I will have better days ahead!

Tonight during the game, we enjoyed another fantastic and delicious dinner of Japanese style hamburg steak over rice, with a wine sauce and egg. I guess you could also say it was a super-fancy loco moco. In fact, we had a Hawaiian-style macaroni salad to go with it. So yummy!

Tonight Bay and I went to see the Oklahoma City Dodgers play the Round Rock Express at the Dell Diamond. It was a minor league baseball game, but there were some major-leaguers playing – most notably, Joc Pederson and Kyle Farmer for the Dodgers. They will soon be called back up to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they make their push towards the playoffs.

But in the meantime, it was cool to see these Dodgers up close. As you can see from the photos, Bay got Joc Pederson’s autograph (and Kyle Farmer’s as well) to add to his cap. Minor league games are pretty cool because they are a lot more relaxed and informal.

I splurged a bit and bought row 2 seats behind the plate, but since it’s minor league, they were only $14 each. A pretty good deal to be close enough to talk to the players!

Even though the Dodgers lost the game, it was great to see the larger-than-life ballplayers up close. And when you see them up close, they are just regular people. Kind of cool!

I hope you had a nice Saturday.

Hello! Today, Koa and I drove up to Arlington to catch the Angels play the Rangers. I didn’t have any Angels gear to wear (in support of my brother and his favorite team) so I wore my Dodgers cap. 😀

I was excited to see future Hall-of-Famer Albert Pujols play, but it was a coincidence that Yu Darvish would be pitching for the Rangers. And we got a treat because Pujols cranked a line-drive homer to left field in the first! Other than that, Darvish pitched well, but the Rangers just couldn’t score any runs for him.

We had a good time, and it was worth the long 3-hour drive up to see a major league game.

Play ball!

Today, Bay and I visited the traveling Baseball Hall of Fame exhibit which is in Round Rock, just 20 minutes from our house. The displays were way better than I was expecting. We got to see Babe Ruth’s last home run baseball, Roger Maris’ bat that hit the home run to break Babe Ruth’s single-season record, Harry Caray’s famous glasses, and much more! I was pretty blown away at the history that was able to be displayed.

In addition to those items, there were VR activities, like experiencing the 2016 World Series at the ballparks in Chicago and Cleveland, and riding along in the victory parade. It was really cool.

And a little bit more fun was that I made my own silly Hall of Fame plaque, which you can see below. 😆

I highly recommend a visit to the traveling Hall of Fame if you get the chance.

I hope you had a nice Saturday!
