We didn’t put out any Halloween decorations this year, but our neighbors always have a great display, so we got to enjoy the spirit every day!

‘Tis the Season
Some days, I feel like I could just run forever and today was one of those days. Maybe it was because I decided to run on streets I haven’t run before, but I felt so good and actually ran faster than I have in a long time. I don’t know if it was the proverbial runner’s high, but it was magical!
And part of what it made it so fun was that I saw a lot of really cool Halloween decorations. There was one house that had a huge skeleton with fire in its ribcage, but I didn’t take a photo because they were still setting it up. Next time!

Cute Japanese Halloween Candy
I just love the illustrations on these Japanese Halloween candies. So cute! 🎃👻
For some reason, I am enjoying the change of seasons from Summer to Autumn a lot this year. I’m guessing it has to do with the pandemic lock-down lifestyle, but not sure exactly… Anyways, I’ll enjoy the feeling, whatever the reasons.
All Hallow’s Eve
How was your Halloween? Ours was pretty chill and chilly, with the temperatures in the 40s by the time the sun was going down. I think that led to there being less trick-or-treaters than normal. Still, we had quite a few come by and I spent the evening handing out candy and working on my Inktober project. We haven’t decorated for Halloween in a few years, but our neighbors go all-out, so we get to enjoy the spirit of the holiday all month-long. It’s fun!
I hope you had a nice Halloween!

Spooky Night
こんばんは。How’s it going?
So, our kids are now too old to dress up for Halloween but our neighborhood is still filled with kids of the trick-or-treating age, so we hand out a lot of treats. Tonight we must have had about 75 kids show up, and we just about ran out of candy!
Actually, towards the end of the evening, some older kids who Koa knew came by, and Koa gave them the rest of the treats. He heard me say that once we get rid of all the candy, we have to turn off all the lights so no one else knocks on the door. But he thought I meant to give away all the candy to the next group of kids!
It worked out fine, though, because by 8 pm the night was just about over. We had rain here in Texas, so most families went out earlier than usual. It was a fun night, though, seeing all of the costumes! 🎃
I hope you had a nice Halloween!
