“Perfume” Cedar Park, 2021
We watched the 72nd Kouhaku Uta Gassen this evening. Usually we watch on New Year’s Day, but decided to watch it before midnight on New Year’s Eve. It was pretty good, but felt a little subdued maybe because of the ongoing pandemic. But I liked my usual favorites including Perfume! They are always great. Polygon Wave is a fantastic song.
And Shiina Ringo never disappoints. This year she sang into a megaphone. It was great! She’s got amazing confidence and style. She’s awesome.

Awesome City Club was also very good. I need to find them on Spotify! Lastly, あいみょん is a singer I have never heard before, but I thought she was excellent.
