I went with Kiki on another favorite road here in Austin: Old Spicewood Springs Road. It’s such a blast! I also experimented with an external mic to reduce wind noise. While the results are better than before, I’m still not fully satisfied. More testing is needed!

New Face Shield
I love my new tinted face shield! I rarely ride at night, so I think the tinted shield will be super-convenient. I had a tinted face-shield on my old helmet so I pretty much know what to expect. Yay for more comfortable (and safer) riding!
Riding with Kiki
I went for a nice ride with Kiki (my motorbike) to meet a friend at the camera store. The store has a semi-annual event where they give out gift vouchers of varying value to the first 50 customers. I got lucky and received a $25 voucher, which I used to buy a couple of packs of Instax film. Woot!
After that, I rode to Ramen Del Barrio to try some of the Mexican-fusion ramen. I ordered the carnitas tonkotsu, which was excellent!
I took my Insta360 camera along for the ride so I could make a little motovlog video. Hopefully I can edit it and upload this week.
What a fun day!
Afternoon Vroom
I went for a short ride to test out a new camera angle for my Insta360 camera. I was so excited to try it, but unfortunately the angle was not so great and the selfie stick was kind of bobbing up and down too much. Back to the drawing board! 😀
I did, however, get some nice POV footage from my helmet chin-mounted GoPro and will post a video in the future.
Chin Mount
The straps for the chin mount that I got for the GoPro have been slipping pretty much ever since I got them, so I haven’t used it on my helmet too much. But I recently just kind of folded the strap over itself so that the thickness is doubled and now the clamps are holding the mount very securely. Can’t wait to go for a ride and get some POV footage!
