Oh hey, what’s this? A new watch for the collection? Yes! I bought a new Timex Weekender to replace my other Weekender that Bay took with him to college. I love the clean and simple design of the Weekender watches, plus the low price makes them a terrific value. This particular Weekender has the same font as my old one, but the face is a subtle cream color, and the seconds hand is a shiny silver. It also comes with a comfortable 20 mm genuine leather band for a classic and casual look. I really like it, but so does Koa, which means he’ll be wearing it quite a bit as well.

こんにちは!

I received another birthday present, this time from my brother. The Casio W800H-1AV watch is a model that he has had for a while now, and I put it on my wishlist after seeing his last year in China. So I was really surprised because I was chatting with him about his watch just the other day, and lo and behold, a package containing new Casio arrived at my doorstep!

The Casio W800H-1AV is really comfortable and light, with an easy-to-read display and a 10-year battery. It’s a great watch for sporting activities like running and biking, and has a 100 M water-resistance rating. A good all-around watch, and a great addition to my small collection of watches.

I hope you had a nice day!

Left or Right, Inside or Outside

Due to a wrist injury, I’ve had to wear my watches on my right wrist, which has been a weird experience. But lately my wrist has improved so that I can wear my watches (loosely) on my left wrist and it feels so much more natural! And I am wearing them on the inside of my wrist, which is more comfortable and the way I wore them when I was younger. I sometimes wear it on the outside but my wrist will get sore after a while, so inside it is.

It’s a little silly, but I feel like I’ve completed some sort of achievement by wearing watches in all four positions. Do I get a medal for that? At any rate, I’ve learned that for me, the left wrist (standard for right-handed people) and on the inside (military-style) is best.

New Watch for Mariko

Mariko got this cool Moomin watch with a Japanese magazine. It’s cheap but cute! Mariko doesn’t wear watches very often but I remember when we first met she had a cool Alba Spoon watch and also a cute Casio Baby-G. Sometimes she wore a small silver Seiko, but I have no idea if she still has that or not. But she loves Moomin characters, so I’m anticipating that the Littly My watch will get plenty of wrist time. 😊
