こんにちは! How’s it going?

Today we went to Gyu-Kaku for some yakiniku. It was yummy! Since it was during happy hour, we ordered many different types of meat. And also a pitcher of beer which we couldn’t finish. $16 for a pitcher of Kirin!

Today’s photos were taken using the Toy Camera mode on the Olympus E-PL9. I set it to square format to get that old Polaroid look and enjoy it very much! You’ll probably be seeing lots more photos like this in the future.

My Fujifilm X-E4 also has a similar filter, but I think the Olympus does a better job at it.

I hope you had a good day! またね〜

Tonight we enjoyed a simple sliced pork yakiniku. It was yummy and very easy to make! All the ingredients are readily available, and the dipping sauce for the meat is just sesame oil and salt. We prefer to have larger leaf lettuce, but we just used what we had left in the fridge, and sliced half an onion and two jalapeños. Kimchee and mozzarella cheese round out the meal. Simple and delicious! 😀

Tonight’s dinner was yakiniku with Japanese wagyu beef, sliced pork belly, sausage, mushrooms, cheese, and homegrown nasubi and jalapeño peppers. The beef was amazing, and the peppers were off-the-chart spicy! We also had some store-bought peppers which were very mild, thankfully.

I love spicy food, but these peppers were almost too much. I’d say these were almost as hot as habaneros! 🔥🌶 I loved them though. 😂

Yakiniku must be one of the top meals for meat-eaters. Grilling right at the table is such a treat! In addition to the beef, pork belly, and sausage, we had mozzarella cheese, haloumi cheese, onion, kimchee, salad, and Sigeumchi-namul (spinach). So yummy!

We live near an H-Mart Korean Market so having yakiniku at home is a convenient dinner option. The market has many different kinds of meats, sliced and/or marinated, ready for the grill-pan. For tonight’s dinner, we had thinly-sliced fatty pork belly, lightly-marinated beef, and mini smoked sausages. Veggies included lettuce, kimchee, zucchini, onion, jalapeno, pickled cauliflower, and salad. So yummy!

I hope you had a nice day! 😀
